Creative Director: Riccardo TisciInspiration: The designer chose to show at the Tate Modern, an iconic art museum in London. It was a way for him to celebrate England through a second collection for Burberry this time, named “Tempest” to highlight contrasts between the British culture and weather as well as the youth of English aristocracy. A collection in 4 parts named girls, boys, women, men.Collection: An energy dedicated to young people at the beginning with big puffa jackets, bomber jackets and coats that can be transformed with detachable parts, turtlenecks and rims of jackets that become scarves. Checks taken from archives are reinterpreted. We see hoodies and revisited tracksuits like the corset which becomes a top as well as the skin-tight dress. For the second part, beige dominates the colour palette, with touches of green and orange for trench coats that finish in a shawl/poncho at the back. Silhouettes are more fitted, we see pleated skirts and silk shirts.Men can opt for a sleeveless puffa gilet worn on top of a coat or they can choose an elegant duffle coat. There are many details including jewels and crystals embroidered by hand. Some evening dresses are adorned with thin straps and satin bands or are made using faux fur. Don’t forget the new versions of the new star bag, the TB bag.Note: Like the first collection, friends such as Irina Shayk, Natalia Vodianova, and Mariacarla Boscono modelled in the show + the sound track made especially for the occasion by the singer M.I.A.Interview with Mariacarla Boscono:I have always been a fan so I don’t know if I am being biased, but I find that this show is stronger and it becomes something magical. I was blown away by this collection, I wanted to wear everything.Aside from our friendship, I have a realistic eye, I think he is a genius.Music from the show (for use only in context of the show, under cover of the right to information).
