Costume National Spring Summer Women Collection 2013 in Paris (itw)
Gathering at the palais de tokyo for ennio capasa and his costume national label. always trying to mix different art forms, the designer invites two images created by artists of toiletpaper, maurizio cattelan and pierpaolo ferrari, having already worked on the website of the brand. one way for capasa to push his label further into experimentation. same idea for materials (crepe cotton, crepe silk, viscose mixed with silk) still very elaborated like the work of the cut. suits are constantly diverted; the sleeve or the lower leg disappears, asymmetry dominates, different layers of fabric make up the volume. red and pink oppose the eternal black. zorro hats complete an urban and sensual silhouette.

interview ennio capasa : the collection is called `art and roll' there is all the dna of costume national, there is the graphic element, the asymmetries, the tailoring, the tuxedo, all of that. and there is an interesting collaboration that we started this year with toiletpaper, maurizio cattelan and pierpaolo ferrari on our website. and the collaboration was called "rocknroll vs popnroll" and so i have this idea to use the art work in the collection, so this part of the collection is very interesting, we use some prints made by maurizio and pierpaolo ferrari.
we've grown a lot in the last three years, like 25%, which is important, we opened a lot of new stores in china, japan, korea, we are going to have two new beautiful stores in milan next year. it's a good moment, i think it's this kind of 90, minimal feel is coming back. we are here.
